Seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic-quality imaging and assist radiologists with interventional procedures. The role requires proficiency in radiologic equipment operation, patient positioning, radiation exposure techniques, and patient care across all age groups. Candidates must demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and compliance with patient safety and confidentiality standards.

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Select appropriate exposure factors and position patients to produce diagnostic-quality radiologic images.
\n
• Prepare and instruct patients before examinations and interventional procedures.
\n
• Assist radiologists during interventional radiology procedures.
\n
• Operate radiology equipment competently and report equipment malfunctions promptly.
\n
• Complete assigned procedures efficiently while assisting with room turnover and departmental workflow.
\n
• Maintain medication security and ensure access is restricted to authorized personnel.
\n
• Provide appropriate care and demonstrate effective interpersonal communication with patients of all age groups.
\n
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurately use hospital information systems, RIS, and PACS.
\n
• Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives as needed.
\n
• Respond professionally to technical inquiries from physicians and hospital personnel.
\n
• Demonstrate flexibility, accountability, compassion, and teamwork.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required as an IR Rad Tech
\n
• License: New York State license required for Radiology Technologist
\n
• ARRT Certification required
\n
• Required Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association (AHA) only.
\n
• VIR Certification is preferred but nice to have.
\n
• Strong knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and radiologic equipment.
\n
• Proficiency with HIS, RIS, and PACS systems.
\n
• Excellent patient care, communication, and teamwork skills.
\n

Important Details:

• 13-week contract position (extensions possible)
\n
• Shift is 8 hrs/day (8:00 AM-4:00 PM), 40 hrs/week
\n
• Location is Rochester, NY 14642
\n
• Local candidates only; no travelers accepted
\n
• Pay Range for locals: $65 - $70 per hour
