Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.About UsRaytheon’s Naval Airborne Systems (NAS), a sub strategic business unit within Naval Power, seeks a Principal Lead Systems Engineer (LSE) to join the leadership of the Advanced Sensor Products (ASP) Development family of programs.  The ASP Development family of programs provides airborne sensor and processing solutions to the US Navy. The LSE will be responsible for guiding the technical execution of projects across ASP Development and developing system-level requirements and architecture. The LSE will also be responsible for integration and verification of new system development. This is an Onsite position in Plano, TexasWhat You Will DoLead multiple project teams of varying size and scope, applying multidiscipline engineering knowledge, and supporting all phases of the development and production lifecycleWork across leadership, engineering, and shared services to help ensure strategy and execution alignment Coordinate efforts across multiple disciplines and program efforts, to include coordination with external customer entities Interpret mission requirements and objectives into lower-level requirements to the program and supplier teams Provide program leadership to the Cross Product Teams and Integrated Product Teams and many collaborative partners from Engineering, Operations, Mission Assurance, and Global Supply Chain Provides technical mentorship and structured apprenticeship opportunities to program engineers.Qualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience overseeing technical activities across the development and production lifecycle, including system-level design and integrationSensor, processor, and software elements within integrated systemsActive and transferrable final U.S. government issued Top Secret Security Clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
