Job title – Senior Field Service Technician

Location – Lexington, KY 40511

Job type – 12 months contract with possible extension

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Technical Field Technician to join our team in South Bend, Indiana, supporting Dell hardware and onsite technical service operations.

In this role, you will diagnose and repair computer hardware, resolve technical issues, perform component replacements, and ensure reliable system performance at customer locations. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled professional seeking a long-term contract with the potential for permanent employment.

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain Dell laptops, desktops, and related computer hardware.
• Perform component-level replacements, including motherboards, LCD screens, and other defective parts.
• Deliver onsite field service and technical support to customers.
• Perform hardware installations, upgrades, break-fix repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose system issues and implement effective technical solutions.
• Assist with server hardware maintenance and troubleshooting, as needed.
• Document service activities, repair outcomes, and technical findings accurately.
• Coordinate with customers and technical teams to ensure timely service delivery.
• Travel to assigned service locations and manage field service responsibilities independently.
• Support overtime and standby/on-call requirements when necessary.

Required Skills

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on laptop and desktop break-fix experience.
• Practical experience diagnosing Dell computers and repairing hardware failures.
• Experience replacing motherboards, LCD screens, and other computer components.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
