Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee-owned company, is searching for talented scientists and engineers with interest in microelectronics security and systems security development to join our Advanced Technology Development Operation (ATDO). Modern embedded systems face physical security threats across the entire system lifecycle. Addressing these challenges requires individuals capable of out-of-the-box thinking, with an innovative mindset and the ability to work as part of multi-disciplinary engineering teams. ATDO is involved in the development and analysis of anti-tamper / protective technology capabilities and products, advancing the state-of-the-art in areas ranging from secure microelectronics packaging to system-level security for weapons systems. ATDO is looking for an FPGA Engineer with the breadth and versatility to work at all design and development stages, from ideation to formal production acceptance testing for electronics subsystems utilizing embedded commercial processors, ASICs, SoCs, GPUs and FGPAs. The candidate must have experience turning up initial custom hardware prototype designs, and maturing said prototypes into deployable solutions. Must work well as part of small, fast-paced and mission-driven team(s).Experience with system security architectures and cryptography is desirable but not required. Requirements:B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical field with 10+ years direct experience developing embedded systems (Advanced STEM degrees will substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis)Active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain a DoD security clearanceUnderstanding of schematics, ability to perform lab tests on designs and components, experience with custom electronics turn-up, and troubleshooting and improving new and existing embedded designsDesign, simulation, synthesis, closure and validation of IP Embedded Debugging / EmulationAdvanced level C programmerFPGA: VHDL and / or VerilogDesirable Qualifications / Skills (some or all would be viewed positively):Advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical field with 15+ years of relevant work experienceActive Top Secret clearanceDemonstrated expertise as technical lead / architect for embedded projects - conceptualizing solutions to open-ended problems, deriving implementable requirements, and conveying design intent to a broader team. Entrepreneurial mindset - propose new ideas, processes, tools and solutionsExcel at verbal and written communication with customers and team members by providing reports, technical documentation, and guidance as well as participation in the systems engineering process including architecture selectionMicrocodeSecure BootReal-time systems experienceHardware driver creationDesign, simulation, synthesis, and test of IP for ASIC and FPGA projectsCryptographic algorithm implementationDevelopment of cryptographic primitives beyond encryptionAdvanced knowledge of Roots of Security / Secure Processors.
